About ILS Recovery Bureau
ILS Recovery Bureau is building the most effective lost item recovery platform in the world. We connect people who've lost something with the community members who've found it — through free lost-item alerts, a community board, and QR recovery tags.
Our Mission
We believe that losing something important shouldn't mean losing it forever. Every year, billions of dollars worth of personal property goes unclaimed simply because finders don't know how to return items quickly and safely. ILS Recovery Bureau closes that gap.
What We Do
- Provide waterproof QR recovery tags that link any item to its owner
- Send an email alert when a tag is scanned
- Host a free community Lost & Found Board where anyone can post a lost item alert
- Create a secure private messaging channel between owners and finders
- Maintain local lost & found resource directories for every major US city
Our Values
- Privacy first — Owner contact details are never publicly exposed.
- No app required — Any finder with a smartphone can help, no download needed.
- Community powered — Recovery works because people want to help each other.
- Always improving — We continuously add features based on recovery stories.
