Safety Center — ILS Recovery Bureau
Your safety — and the safety of finders — is our top priority. Here's how we keep every recovery interaction secure.
Protecting Your Personal Information
- Your home address is never shown on any public page.
- Your phone number and email are never visible to finders.
- You control exactly what appears on your item's recovery page — a first name is enough.
- All messages between owners and finders pass through the platform, so neither side sees the other's contact details.
Safe Recovery Meetups
When arranging to reclaim your item from a finder, follow these guidelines:
- Meet in a public place — a coffee shop, police station lobby, or well-lit retail area.
- Bring a friend if possible.
- Let someone know where you're going and when.
- Trust your instincts — if a meetup feels wrong, reschedule or involve local authorities.
Our Fraud Protections
- QR codes are individually registered and cannot be duplicated.
- Reward payments are arranged directly between owner and finder — we do not handle money, eliminating payment scam risk.
- All accounts are verified at registration.
- Suspicious listings are reviewed and removed by our moderation team.
